Woman raped inside her house

A married woman was allegedly raped inside her house by a man in Jhandiana West village, police said here on Tuesday. Accused Gora Singh, on finding the victim alone in her house on Monday afternoon, entered the building and committed the crime, they said.

After registering a case under relevant sections of the IPC, the police got the woman medically examined at Moga civil hospital last evening, which confirmed the assault on her. Police said that a manhunt had been launched to nab the accused, who was absconding after the crime.
