Hazaribagh: 50,000 toilets in 61 panchayats soon

Apatry from the cleanliness campaign, the Government Girls School of Hazaribagh became the first school in the state where every student has own digital lockers.

The Hazaribagh administration will construct 50,000 toilets in its 61 panchayats to declare the district free from open defecation under the Clean India Campaign, deputy commissioner Mukesh Kumar said on Friday.

“More than a thousand toilets have been constructed. Five lakh persons of the district will take the oath of cleanliness at a time under the campaign,” Kumar said.

The Government Girls School of Hazaribagh became the first school in the state where every student has own digital lockers, he said.

Under this scheme, students can upload the scanned copies of their documents in their accounts which can be electronically signed using the e-sign facility. The officer also said each person has their own digi-lockers Mukru village in Jabra under the Adrash Gram Yojana.
