Suggestions from people will help in preparing a comprehensive budget besides ensuring transparency and accountability, Das said.
Work culture in Jharkhand needs to be changed, he said, adding that accountability would be fixed on officers so that developmental works were execute within a limited time-frame.
During the pre-budget interaction, Das made a series of announcements besides hinting that if required, more amendments would be introduced in Chotanapgur and Santhal Parnagana tenachy acts to protect interest of land owners.
North Chotanagpur division has seven districts - Bokaro, Chatra, Dhanbad, Giridih, Hazaribagh, Koderma and Ramgarh - under its jurisdiction.
He also announced formation of Jharkhand Industrial Area Development Authority to look after 1.72 lakh acres of industrial land owned by different government agencies.
Besides, he announced that Binod Behari Mahto Koylanchal University would be set up in Dhanbad. It would start operation next year after the assembly’s coming budget session completes all formalities.
Birsa Institute of Technology (BIT-Sindri) would be upgraded a with cost of `150 crore and all vacancies, including that of a full time director, would be fulfilled within next few months, the chief minister said.
Das directed all deputy commissioners and superintendents of police to execute their responsibilities “fearlessly” and book criminals for the interest of peaceful industrial scenario in the state.
The chief minister also met some of the MLAs of the seven districts and held talks with public distribution system dealers and bank employees on his go cashless drive.
A team of senior government officials, including chief secretary Rajbala Verma, was present during the budget consultation.
