Actor Vikram’s son Dhruv allegedly rammed his car into parked auto-rickshaws in Chennai’s Teynampet area on Sunday morning, injuring one person and leaving three autos mangled. Police have started investigation in the case.
According to a report in The News Minute, the injured person was hospitalised. A case has been filed under Section 279 (Rash driving or riding on a public way) and 337 (Causing hurt by act endangering life or personal safety of others) of the IPC. Dhruv was released on bail.
A member fo the Adyar traffic investigations wing also told the website, “This is not a case of drunken driving. We have ruled it out. Dhruv was reportedly travelling with two other persons in the car and a video that surfaced online also shows one of the individuals arguing with the police. He is being addressed as Rahul in the video and he is seen trying to call someone when the police ask him to get into the official vehicle. He also tried to stop the person who was recording the video.
Dhruv is currently preparing to debut in Tamil film industry with the remake of Vijay Deverakonda’s hit Telugu film, Arjun Reddy. The film is being directed by Bala, who has worked with Vikram on multiple films and is titled Varma. Pyaar Prema Kaadhal fame Raiza Wilson also plays a pivotal part in this film.
