China trailer: Kalaiyarasan and Ritu Varma will play the lead roles in this film based in Burma Bazaar.
If you work in a den of goons, can you stay away from crime? This seems to to be the question China trailer seems to be asking. Starring Kalaiyarasan and Ritu Varma, the trailer dropped on Tuesday and the film seems like an engaging suspense drama.
China is about Mathy (Kalaiarasan) who owns a shop in Burma bazaar, famous for smuggled illegal goods. He gets a phone call and is asked to take part in a dangerous game. The trailer also introduces us to Bigg Boss contestant Daniel Annie Pope as the friend of the hero.
Will Mathy give in? Standing on the side of angels is Ritu Varma’s Sherlyn, a student who is in love with Kalairasan’s character. She advises him not to give in for the lure of money and next we see him refusing to store something precious for the local don. This could be the beginning of the conflict in China.
China is directed by Harshavardhana and has music composed by Ved Shankar. Harshavardhana, who assisted AR Murugadoss earlier, will be making his debut with this film. The film is produced by Arjun Sablok under the banner Arkash Media Works. Kalaiyarasan was last seen in Suriya-starrer Thaana Serndha Koottam.
