Anirudh Ravichander will compose the music of the film while Santosh Sivan will crank the camera and Sreekar Prasad will take care of editing. The film was originally supposed to be produced by Sun Pictures. However, they backed out after their film Sarkar was caught in a controversy. Darbar would be the third outing for Lyca Productions with Rajinikanth after Kaala and 2.0.
