Happy Birthday Priyadarshan: The master of adaptations

Director Priyadarshan will turn 61 on Tuesday. The director recently worked with Udhayanidhi Stalin on the Tamil film Nimir, a remake of Malayalam film Maheshinte Prathikaaram.

Happy birthday Priyadarshan: The National award winning director recently remade Maheshinte Prathikaaram in Tamil.

Priyadarshan is a master filmmaker who has produced stunning work in three languages — Malayalam, Hindi and Tamil. He has worked with top stars in these three industries and his most successful association has been with Malayalam superstar Mohanlal, their most recent collaboration being Oppam in 2016.

The director, whose Tamil film Kanchivaram won the National Award in 2007 and is famous for his adaptations from novels, other Indian and foreign films — and anything that is worth it — turned 61 on Tuesday.
