Is Aditi Rao Hydari teaming up with Mani Ratnam again?

Aditi Hydari Rao impressed critics and audiences alike with her performance in Mani Ratnam’s Kaatru Veliyidai, in which she was paired with Karthi. Despite the film’s poor run at the box-office, Aditi made her presence felt via a challenging role. According to a Times of India report, she’s all set to reunite with the Roja filmmaker in his next project, which is expected to roll from March. While the report is yet to be officially verified by either Aditi or the makers, the former is believed to have recently walked out of Telugu actor Venkatesh’s film to keep herself available for Ratnam’s project.
Ratnam’s next is a bi-lingual multi-starrer and it already stars Arvind Swami, Vijay Sethupathi, Fahadh Faasil and Simbu in the lead, while Jyothika and Aishwarya Rajesh play the leading ladies. To be bankrolled by Madras Talkies, double Oscar-winning A.R Rahman has been roped in compose the music. Lensman Santosh Sivan will crank the camera and it’ll be his sixth collaboration with Ratnam. Industry sources have confirmed that the film will be an action-thriller and will be a welcome departure from the filmmaker’s usual style of films.
Aditi, meanwhile, has commenced shooting for national award-winning filmmaker Indraganti Mohan Krishna’s yet-untitled Telugu project, which stars Baaghi fame Sudheer Babu in the lead.
