Tik Tik Tik starring Jayam Ravi is postponed, actor announces on Twitter.

The space film, Tik Tik Tik starring Jayam Ravi and directed by Shakti Soundar Rajan will not release on Republic Day as stated earlier by filmmakers. Jayam Ravi took to Twitter to announce the same and wrote, “#Tiktiktik will not be releasing this Republic Day but we will be announcing a new release date very soon! I thank my fans and well wishers for standing by me as always request you to continue supporting the film. #tiktiktikcomingsoon”

The buzz in the industry is that the film is being postponed due to financial reasons. The film has missed the Republic Day weekend, however, considering the release of Padmaavat and Bhaagmathie, this might turn in favour of the Tik Tik Tik team.

Speaking about the film, Jayam Ravi was quoted by Hindu as saying, “When Shakti approached me after Miruthan, he said he had two scripts for me — a small one and a big one. Lead actors today don’t have the luxury to act in hundreds of films. Whichever film we choose to do has to be the equivalent of doing five films. So I asked him to write the ‘big’ one, and that is Tik Tik Tik. He narrated a script that I just loved... but that’s also when the doubts started to arise.”

On January 26, Udhayanidhi Stalin’s Nimir, Anushka Shetty’s Bhaagamathie and Vimal’s Mannar Vagaiyara will hit the screens. The film will also star Jayam Ravi’s son Aarav and Nivetha Pethuraj in pivotal roles.
