Karthi’s turn to ride on Singam brand, his next titled Kadai Kutty Singam
On the occasion of Pongal, Suriya unveiled the first look poster and title of Karthi starrer Kadai Kutty Singam on Sunday.
We’re all aware of the popularity of Singam brand in Suriya’s illustrious career. In a recent interview, he admitted that the successful franchise expanded his market as a commercial hero and made him an established star. Now, it is Karthi’s turn to ride on the popular Singam brand as his next outing in his brother Suriya’s production has been titled Kadai Kutty Singam. Being directed by Pandiraj, the film is on the verge of completion and is most likely to hit the screens in March. After playing a rough and tough cop in Theeran: Adhigaaram Ondru, Karthi will be seen in a full-length rural avatar in this film.
On the occasion of Pongal, Suriya unveiled the first look poster and title of the film on Sunday. Via a tweet, he announced that the film has been titled Kadai Kutty Singam in Tamil and Chinnababu in Telugu. Apparently, Karthi plays a farmer in the film, which also co-stars Sayyeshaa as the leading lady. Priya Bhavani Shankar, last seen in Meyaadha Maan, also plays a crucial role in the film. Sathyaraj and Soori also play pivotal roles.
The film marks the first time collaboration of Karthi and Pandiraj. It’s also Karthi’s maiden collaboration with 2D Entertainment, which is owned by Suriya and the company so far has produced films such as 36 Vayadhinile, 24 and Pasanga 2. Kadai Kutty Singam has music by D. Imman.
