Koode actor Nazriya talks about bond with onscreen brother Prithviraj. Watch video

Nazriya Nazim is set to make a comeback to the film industry with Anjali Menon’s Koode. In a video shared on the film’s official Facebook page, the actor talked about how her onscreen bond with Prithviraj also translated off screen. In the video, Nazriya explains how she was initially hesitant about acting with Prithviraj as she did not know him offscreen.
“It was different when we all worked together on Bangalore Days because I knew all of them from before,” she said. “I had worked with them and we were in a certain comfort zone. But now I was worried because Joshua (Prithviraj’s character in the film) and Jenny, (Nazriya’s character) share a very close bond with each other.”
She added, “So I spoke about this to Anjali and she had started an iMessage group. She wrote how this chat group will break ice between us and Prithvi replied with ‘There is no ice to break’. Now he has become an important person, who is brother like in real life too.”
Along with Nazriya and Prithviraj, the film will see Parvathy and Roshan Mathew play pivotal roles in the film. According to a report in India Today, Nazriya also spoke about taking a long break post her wedding and said, “All through my break, Fahadh too kept telling me, like the rest of them, ‘Aren’t you going to listen to scripts? How long are you going to sit like this?’ I used to tell him, ‘Stop it, I’m just enjoying this phase.’”
She added in the interview, “People just assume that you are not going to act after marriage, will stop doing romantic roles, and that every guy will stop his wife from acting. People who choose that are absolutely fine. I won’t be shocked if I myself do it later. But that wasn’t the case with us. And I do have a romantic hero in Koode, Roshan. We have our own love story in the film.”
