Mahesh Babu’s Bharat Ane Nenu earn Rs 200 crore in three weeks, one of the biggest blockbusters this year
Mahesh Babu’s film directed by Koratala Siva has earned Rs 200 crore gross worldwide.
Superstar Mahesh Babu can finally breathe a sigh of relief. After two back-to-back flops, he’s delivered his career’s biggest hit in the form of Bharat Ane Nenu, which has come after two years of not being able to live to the expectations of the audiences. As on Sunday, the film has breached into the Rs 200 crore club, emerging as one of the biggest blockbusters of the year.

Speaking at the thank you meet of the film in Hyderabad last month, Mahesh said: “The last two years were emotionally draining and stressful. I don’t know how to react, but I’m really relieved and happy with this success. The tension of disappointing my fans over the last two years haunted me. Even though I knew deep down we had made a good film, I wanted audiences to watch and decide.”
In his interview to Deccan Chronicle, Mahesh said he was confident about the film’s success. “I had great confidence in the script and in Siva’s capabilities as a director. I knew we had a winning combination. Right now we are very happy with how things have worked out in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Our collections are about Rs 202 crore so far. We couldn’t have asked for more.”
According to a new poster released by the makers on Sunday, the film grossed a whopping Rs 205 crore worldwide in three weeks. Directed by Koratala Siva, Bharat Ane Nenu tracks the story of a young London returned Mahesh Babu and his plunge into politics as he takes over the Chief Minister’s chair after the sudden demise of his father, played by Sarath Kumar. The film marked the debut of Kiara Advani, who was seen playing Mahesh’s love interest.
