Now I know India is proud of me: Kamal Haasan
"I am proud of my nation, and now I know that the nation is also proud of me. It is a good feeling. I don’t think that this award is for what I have done. I consider this as an impetus for what I have to do in the future in order to deserve this award," says Haasan.

Veteran film actor Kamal Haasan, who will soon be conferred with the Padma Bhushan award, said he feels honoured.
"I am proud of my nation, and now I know that the nation is also proud of me. It is a good feeling. I don’t think that this award is for what I have done. I consider this as an impetus for what I have to do in the future in order to deserve this award," says Haasan.
He adds, "This not humility; I truly feel there are many more gentlemen who have not got it yet. I think they also deserve it."
