Puri Jagannadh's Telugu film Loafer will see Charandeep play the villain. The actor is known for his work in southern films such as Jilla and Pataas.
"Loafer was the best birthday gift ever. I've always been looking forward to work with Puri sir. When he asked me to keep myself available a few months ago, I was so excited that I decided to forego few projects and wait for his offer," said Charandeep.
"We've already completed the first schedule. I shot for two days and I'll be joining the Jodhpur schedule shortly," he said.
Asked about working with Puri, he said: "He's easily the most laid-back director I've worked with. It's so much fun on sets with him."
Charandeep is also part of Pawan Kalyan-starrer Gabbar Singh 2, which has now been rechristened Sardar.
"Although I can't divulge details about my role in the film, I can confirm that I've signed the project. I'm looking forward to join the sets soon," he said.
Marathi actor Sharad Kelkar plays the main villain in Sardar, which is being directed by Bobby.
