Rajinikanth donates meditation hall to Paramahansa Yogananda founded centre in Himalayas

It is a known fact that Rajinikanth goes to the Himalayas for prayers and meditation. Recently, he donated a meditation centre to Yogoda Satsanga Society of India (YSS), founded by Paramahansa Yogananda, on its completion of 100 years, reports The News Minute. The prayer hall is located at Dronagiri in Uttarakhand. Yogananda is the author of the famous book, The Autobiography of a Yogi.
It is believed that Sri Guru Mahavatar Babaji meditated at a cave in Himalayas. The prayer hall is located close to the cave. Rajinikanth and his friends have been visiting the cave for a decade now. The idea behind the hall was to provide facility to the followers who visit the place for meditation.
Speaking to News18.com, Rajinikanth’s friend, V Vishwanathan said, “Along with Rajinikanth, there are few more (Hari from Bengaluru, VD Murthy and Sridhar Rao from Delhi) who are part of this charity. We thought of this idea and feel fortunate to fulfil on its 100th year completion.”
Meanwhile, Rajinikanth has completed shooting for his next two big films -- Shankar’s 2.0 and Pa Ranjith directorial Kaala. The promotions of 2.0 have begun in real earnest. It’s audio launch, scheduled to take place in Dubai on October 27, is expected to be a lavish affair.
