Actor Radhika Apte, who last appeared in Ketan Mehta’s Mountain Man, has joined Tamil actor Rajinikanth for the final schedule of upcoming Tamil gangster drama Kabali in Malaysia.

“Important scenes between Rajinikanth and Radhika, besides some action sequences will be shot in this schedule that will go on for nearly three weeks in Malaysia,” said a source from the film’s unit. Radhika plays Rajinikanth’s wife in the film, which is being directed by Pa. Ranjith.
Kabali, which also features Malaysian actors, is loosely based on real-life don Kabaleeshwaran. Rajinikanth plays an ageing don in the film. Slated to release in May, the film also features Dhanshikaa, Dinesh, Kalaiarasan and Ritwika in important roles.
