Simbu doesn’t like to dwell on his failures. Following the huge debacle of Anbanavan Asaradhavan Adangadhavan aka AAA, his last outing which earned the wrath of audiences and critics alike for being extremely sexist and misogynist, has quickly shifted his focus on his next project, rumoured to be a film titled Kettavan, which was dropped many years ago. The actor is reportedly reviving the project and has already begun work, much to the surprise of the entire industry. Not only has he commenced work, but has also roped in the crème of the technicians from the industry.

Last week, when Simbu tweeted about this project, he said it will be a film sans songs and interval. Yuvan Shankar Raja has been roped in to take care of music. On Wednesday, Simbu revealed via his Twitter page that Yuvan has already started working on the film’s background score. Apparently, it will be the first time that the film will go on the floors after recording the score. He also confirmed that ace lensman Santosh Sivan, currently busy wrapping up Mahesh Babu’s Spyder, is on board along with well-known editor Anthony.

Simbu will direct the project, apart from playing the lead. Akshara Gowda is said to be the leading lady and the first glimpse of the film will be out next month. The rest of the cast and crew will be finalised soon.
