This is why Jr. NTR may opt out of Bigg Boss Telugu 2
Jr NTR, who made his small screen debut with Bigg Boss Telugu last year, has reportedly opted out of the show as owing to time constraints. He has two films and a few family commitments, reports suggest.
The first season of Telugu version of popular reality show Bigg Boss went on air last year and it marked the television debut of actor Jr. NTR, who rocked in his new avatar. The Yamadonga actor was paid a whopping Rs 35 lakh per episode, according to the industry grapevine. That makes him the highest paid actor in the history of Telugu television, surpassing veterans like Akkineni Nagarjuna and Chiranjeevi. However, Jr Ntr has reportedly opted out of the show and is most likely to not host the second season which is slated go on air later this year.
According to a Deccan Chronicle report, “The actor is committed to two films — one with Trivikram and the other with SS Rajamouli. Both start one after another without a gap. He also has a few family commitments, so he has no time to do the reality show, and hence opted out,” says a source, adding that he took the decision on Thursday “after discussing it with his family members.”
An official word is yet to come in from NTR’s side and it is to be seen who will brought in as replacement for NTR.
Bigg Boss Telugu brought together many firsts to the Telugu entertainment space. It is the most expensive show to ever be created in Telugu television. It had one of the largest sets, with more than 10000 square feet area and nearly 750 people worked on the project at any given point of time.
