Vijay Sethupathi, Shruti Haasan launch their first film together, Laabam. See pics
Actors Vijay Sethupathi and Shruti Haasan attended the launch ceremony of their film, Laabam on Monday.
Actors Vijay Sethupathi and Shruti Haasan have joined hands for the first time for a Tamil action flick titled Laabam, which had its launch ceremony in Rajapalayam earlier today.
National Award winning director S P Jananathan, known for making entertaining films Peranmai, Ee and Purampokku, that also seek to highlight political and social issues, will be directing Laabam. The film is being produced by Vijay in association with Arumuga Kumar.
Last seen in Suriya’s Singam 3, Shruti has signed a Tamil project after two years. She recently signed a Hindi film with Mahesh Manjrekar.
Laabam also stars Kalaiarasan and Jagapathi Babu in crucial roles. D Imman has been roped in to compose the music for the film.
Meanwhile, Vijay has just wrapped up the shooting of Sindhubaadh with Pannaiyarum Padminiyum and Sethupathi director Arun Kumar. The film, which has been predominantly shot in Tenkasi and Thailand, also stars Anjali as the leading lady.
Vijay also has a project with Seenu Ramaswamy in his kitty. He is also simultaneously shooting for his next with director Vijay Chandar of Sketch fame. Raashi Khanna plays Vijay’s leading lady in the film.
There are also rumours that Vijay, last seen playing a transwoman in Super Deluxe, has signed Mani Ratnam’s film adaptation of epic novel, Ponniyin Selvan. Jayam Ravi and Vikram are also said to be part of the project.
