Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, who was last seen in Nibunan alongside Arjun Sarja and Prasanna is back with a multilingual project, titled Shakti. The film will be directed by A Priyadaarshini and will be released in Malayalam, Telugu and Tamil.
The first look of each version was released by Dulquer Salmaan, Rana Daggubati and Siva Karthikeyan respectively on social media. The film will see Varu in the lead role and her look so far has impressed fans. It looks like she would be a fearless fighter in this film, however, the role that she would be play is still kept under wraps. The film will be an action-thriller with elements of travel infused.
It will concentrate on a cat-and-mouse chase that the Varalaxmi will be involved in and the antagonist of the film is yet to be finalised. The filmmakers are in talks with a leading actor to play the role, however, there is no confirmation on who they have approached for the same. Balaji Ranga will be cranking the camera for the project. The other crew members, including music composer are yet to be finalised. Interestingly though, it was recently confirmed that the project will mark the debut of Pooja Sarathkumar, Sarathkumar’s younger daughter too. Only, not as an actor but as a stylist. From the first look, it seems like Pooja has done an excellent job.
Priyadaarshini has previously worked as Thupparivalan director Mysskin’s assistant. She had previously explained that this film will be along the lines of Lucy or Kill Bill. Shakti will be produced by Papertale Pictures.
