Nelson Mandela might prod Spice Girls' reunion!

The South African president is reportedly hoping that the British all-girl band might reunite to perform on his birthday on July 28.

A million pounds each may not be enough to reunite the Spice Girls, but perhaps a request from former South African President Nelson Mandela might do the trick.

An insider revealed that "It would make Nelson's day if the girls performed," the Mirror quoted the source, as saying.Mr Mandela was hoping that the British all-girl might reunite and perform a one-off charity celebrity extravaganza for his birthday.

Special invitations have already been sent out to Victoria Beckham, Mel B, Mel C, Geri Halliwell and Emma Bunton to join Mr Mandela, the first black President of SA, on July 28 this year.

Mr Mandela, the first black President of South Africa, will be celebrating his 89th birthday this year. Invitations have also been sent out to Queen star Brian May, Annie Lennox and Peter Gabriel.
