MUMBAI: Althamesh Khan bulged the net twice as Gray Athletics posted a 3-1 win over NB Challengers in the Mumbai District Football Association’s Second Division league at the St Xavier’s ground, Parel, on Monday. Aslam Shaikh netted Gray’s third while Mithun Malla got NB’s consolation goal.

Viraj Shepude, Vipul Lad and Aniket’s strikes tilted the scales in Supreme FC’s favour in their close 3-2 win over Worli SC, who struck through Joel Sierao and Prijesh Parkar.

ALKABEER NETS WINNER

Santacruz-based Lilavati Podar celebrated Alkabeer Mohammed’s solitary goal as they defeated St Xavier’s, Borivali 1-0 in the Mumbai Schools Sports Association’s boys under-16, Third Division football final on Monday.

In the fight for third place, Rosh Rodrigues’s double helped St Xavier’s, Churchgate score a 2-0 win over NSS Hill Spring, Tardeo.

Noel Pinto and Divya Deshpande clinched the men and women’s titles respectively in the PRO TT-organised Vasant Chiplunkar Memorial Table Tennis Tournament.
