CHITTAGONG: England’s left-arm spinner Zafar Ansari grabbed four wickets to stake his claim for a Test berth on the first day of their two-day warm-up match against a Bangladesh Cricket Board XI in Chittagong on Sunday. The BCB XI were all out for 294 thanks to a century by opener Abdul Mazid, who made 106 off 95 balls and shared two useful partnerships with Nazmul Hossain (72) and Mosaddek Hossain (47). After going wicketless in the previous warm-up game that ended on Saturday, Ansari finished with 4-68 as the visitors made a late comeback.

BANGLADESH PICK FOUR UNCAPPED PLAYERS
CHITTAGONG: Bangladesh on Sunday included four uncapped cricketers in their 14-member squad for next week’s first Test in a two-match series against England. Middle-order batsman Sabbir Rahman and wicketkeeper-batsman Nurul Hasan made it to the squad for the first time along with off-spinning all-rounder Mehedi Hasan and pace bowler Kamrul Islam.
MARSH’S HAMSTRING SETBACK AHEAD OF SA TEST
SYDNEY: Australia opener Shaun Marsh is in doubt for next month’s first Test against South Africa with a hamstring injury suffered in a domestic cup match this weekend. Marsh, who missed Australia’s recent ODI tour of South Africa with a broken finger, was inconvenienced during his innings of 70 against Tasmania. WA Cricket described Marsh’s injury as a “low grade tear”.
