SYDNEY: Australia paceman Sean Abbott was left upset and dazed for days after bowling the delivery which fatally injured batsman Phillip Hughes in 2014, a coroner’s inquest has been told. Abbott said in a statement released on Wednesday that he had always looked up to Hughes and had run to the batsman and held his head as he lay on the pitch at the SCG. “Once in the change-room I felt confused and upset, I had a headache, people kept coming up to me but I cannot remember what they said,” Abbott said. “It was all a bit of a blur and I felt like I was in a bit of a daze. I felt super-tired. These feelings stayed with me for the next few days.” The inquest is due to finish on Friday.
