AIFF XI beat HAL for their second win

AIFF XI registered their second successive win after defeating HAL 2-1 in their I-League match here on Thursday. Malswamfela opened the account for the AIFF XI and midfielder Bikramjeet Singh doubled the lead before HAL striker RC Prakash notched up a consolation goal from the spot.

AIFF XI have seven points from six matches, the same as HAL.

AIFF's Jeje Lalpekhlua missed a chance to put his side ahead in the 24th minute when he failed to convert a penalty. The Mizoram striker's spot-kick was parried by keeper P Pramod. After the breather, Bikramjeet took advantage of a HAL defensive lapse to score.
