Artificial turf preferred in Sikkim ground

Football clubs here have urged the Sikkim Football Association to either lay artificial turf or leave it sandy instead of proposed planting of natural grass on Old Guards Ground in Gangtok.
The office bearers of United Sikkim Sporting Club, Denzong Boys' Football Club, Boy's Club and Dzongri Club sat in a meeting yesterday to weigh the consequences of natural planting on the ground, officials said.
