Australia will play Egypt and the United Arab Emirates in football friendlies ahead of next January's Asian Cup in Qatar, Football Federation Australia said today.

Australia will play Egypt and the United Arab Emirates in football friendlies ahead of next January's Asian Cup in Qatar, Football Federation Australia said on Friday. The Socceroos will play Egypt for only the second time in its history in Cairo on Nov. 17 and the United Arab Emirates in Abu Dhabi on Jan. 5 in the first senior match between the teams. Coah Holger Osnieck said "the Egyptians are very skilful and have plenty of pace and with the support of a large partisan home crowd, the match will be a very good challenge ahead of us."
