Bagan players face fan ire

Mohun Bagan captain Ishfaq Ahmed on Sunday said he would reconsider his decision to stay in the city after he and his teammates came under attack from supporters following their 1-2 loss to ONGC in the I-League at the Yuba Bharati Krirangan.

The mob damaged the cars of national team regular Surkumar Singh and Nigerian striker Subair Murithala Ali. Coach Subhas Bhowmick had to be escorted to his car by security. “I'm in a state of shock,” said Ahmed.
