I-League leaders Salgaocar consolidated their position after demolishing Chirag United 4-1 in their 15th round I-League match on Sunday.

That the home team were a man down for almost 80 minutes contributed to the Goa club's complete dominance.

The leaders never stopped mounting raids while Chirag United were a disjointed unit who failed to regroup after central midfielder Denson Devadas was given marching orders.

Within just six minutes of Devadas's send-off, Salgaocar equalised after Yusif Yakubu drove a long range right-footer from the right off Sueoka's pass.

He again struck when he pulled the ball back for an unmarked Ekene Ikenwa to fire home.
