Clubs submit documents

The eight clubs that had failed to meet the criteria laid down by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) to be eligible to play in the next I-League have submitted documents supporting their upgrade to the All India Football Federation (AIFF), said I-League CEO Sunando Dhar.

The eight clubs that had failed to meet the criteria laid down by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) to be eligible to play in the next I-League have submitted documents supporting their upgrade to the All India Football Federation (AIFF), said I-League CEO Sunando Dhar.

The AFC had earmarked December 31 as the last day for the clubs (Salgaocar, AIFF XI, AI, ONGC, HAL, Mohun Bagan, East Bengal and Viva Kerala) to conform to their guidelines.

"I have forwarded the documents to the AFC and they will be coming in February for a second inspection," said Dhar.
