But Ruben Garcia was perhaps too far away with the faeries when he collected a ball while playing for Ontinyent against CD Denia in Spain's third tier league.
Instead of kicking the ball downfield, passing it to a defender or doing anything legal with it, he ran straight out of the box ball in hand.
Indeed the referee was so surprised that it took him a couple of bewildered seconds to whistle and hand Garcia a yellow card - much to the outrage of CD Denia's players, who later saw and kept running for the few seconds it took the ref to whistle the handball! Garcia was only given a yellow card, much to the outrage of CD Denia's players who wanted him off! Ontinyent went on to win the game...
