Four-time champion Justine Henin made a winning return to Roland Garros, showing few side-effects from her self-imposed exile but insisting she is not expecting a miracle transformation.
On Tuesday, the Belgian cruised past Bulgaria's Tsvetana Pironkova 6-4, 6-3 although she showed few signs of Roland Garros ring-rustiness, firing an impressive 31 winners.
Henin, playing on Court Philippe Chatrier for the first time since demolishing Ana Ivanovic in the 2007 final, has already been buoyed by reaching the Australian Open final following her reurn from retirement.
