Nadal beats Fedex in final at Abu Dhabi

Nadal rallied trailed 3-0 in the first tiebreaker but was helped by several unforced errors from the Swiss. The second set went with serve until the tiebreaker, where Nadal hit a crosscourt forehand winner to go up 6-3 before Federer hit a shot long to give Nadal the win.

Australia got off to a winning start on Saturday as Lleyton Hewitt and Alicia Molik won their opening tie 2-1 over Belgium due to a mixed doubles victory. Earlier, Hewitt pulled Australia back as his 6-4, 6-3 defeat of Bemelmans levelled at 1-1. Henin opened the contest as she beat Molik 6-4, 6-4.
