Sania's campaign at Dubai Tennis ends

The Sania-Schiavone duo fought hard against the top seed Zimbabwean-American pair only to go down in a marathon match tiebreaker 2-6, 7-6 (7-4), 10-12 late on Wednesday night.

Sania Mirza's campaign at the Dubai Tennis Championships here ended as she and her partner Francesca Schiavone of Italy were shown the door in doubles quarterfinals of the $1,500,000 event by top seed Cara Black and Liezel Huber.

The Sania-Schiavone duo fought hard against the top seed Zimbabwean-American pair only to go down in a marathon match tiebreaker 2-6, 7-6 (7-4), 10-12 late Wednesday night.

The 21-year-old Hyderabadi had a bad day at the office Wednesday as earlier in the day she lost in the singles second round to fourth seed Jelena Jankovic of Serbia, but not without a fight. She lost the match in three sets 6-4, 3-6, 4-6.
