Somdev Devvarman qualified for the second round of BNP Paribas Open tennis with a 6-2, 6-3 win over Frenchman Adrian Mannarino. In the second round, Somdev will be up against 19th seed Marcos Baghdatis of Cyprus, who received a bye in the first round.
