WhatsApp
To mute an individual or group chats on WhatsApp, you need to follow these simple steps.
STEP 1: Open your WhatsApp and select the chat that you want to mute.
STEP 2: When you select the chat, you will find a mute button next to the delete option.
STEP 3: Tap on mute and you will get three options: Eight hours, 1 day and always. If you select the third option, the chat will be muted forever. For the other two options, you have to select the time once the duration expires to mute them again.
Facebook Messenger
If you want to mute a Facebook chat and put an end to being constantly bugged by the user you don't like.
STEP 1: Just click on Facebook Messenger and select the chat you want to mute.
STEP 2: You need to press on the chat for a bit long. Once a mute option appears, just click on that. You will get options like mute message notifications, mute call notifications and mute message and call notifications. Select on the option you want.
