The police have detained two brothers of the woman’s husband, Mangesh Ransingh, 23, who is now a suspect in the case of his wife’s murder. Mangesh, who suffered 50% burns, is undergoing treatment at Sassoon General Hospital in Pune.

A woman and her husband were set ablaze allegedly by her father and relatives in Maharashtra’s Ahmednagar district as they were opposed to the couple’s marriage, police said Monday.
Two days after his resignation as the leader of the Opposition in the state Assembly was accepted, senior Congress leader Radhakrishna Vikhe Patil on Saturday criticised the party leadership and the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) over the issue of his son, Sujay, contesting from the Ahmednagar Lok Sabha (LS) seat.(Hindustan Times)
