Centre plans AI-backed database to solve similar crimes faster, prevent them

The Modus Operandi Bureau (MOB), the database, will have over 100 modus operandi or trademark of criminals/accused persons involved in crimes till date.

Online frauds: 13 Ludhiana residents duped of 13.9lakh

With 13 more cheating cases reported on Friday, there seems to be no respite from online frauds. The fraudsters have stolen ₹13.86 lakh from the bank accounts of 13 city residents, including an armyman, said police. Days after mega haul, Delhi Police seizes 50kg heroin from Afghan-linked cartel

The police said two Afghan men, Mohammad Akbar, 45, and Neda Mohammad, 38, were arrested from the cold storage plant they raided on Monday and claimed that the foreign nationals were “connected” with the two other Afghan nationals arrested along with three Indian men from south Delhi last week.
