41.22 crore recovered from 1 lakh ineligible pensioners last fiscal

Also ₹3.12 crore has been recovered from 3,797 ineligible beneficiaries in April of the current financial year 2024-25. In total, ₹44.34 crore has been recovered.

Among the ineligible beneficiaries are 1,06,521 death cases, 476 NRIs and 574 government pensioners, says Punjab social security minister Dr Baljit Kaur.

Delhi suffers from a multiplicity of agencies looking after its drains, with around 10 bodies responsible for 3740.31 km of stormwater drains. In some cases, multiple agencies are involved in the maintenance and operations of a single drain
