However, when one is asked to do so, it takes them by surprise. Just like this video shared online where a kid was taken aback when asked to pay the bill. A text insert on the video reads, "Telling my son it's his turn to pay the bill." The kid's reaction has left netizens in splits.
The video was posted on Instagram by a user who goes with the username @dereklipp. The video opens to show a kid enjoying his meal at a restaurant when his dad, from behind the camera, hands him the bill and says, "Can you pay this? It is your turn to pay." At first, the kid looks equally worried and confused. His father then repeats, "I am asking you to pay. Do you have money?" The kid, who took some time to absorb what his father had just said, replies, "You can pay for it now, and I can give you the money when we get home." The father laughs at his son's reaction and tells him it was a joke as he was recording him.

Since being on July 17, the video has accumulated over 7.7 million views. It has also raked up nearly 3.1 lakh likes. Many also posted various comments on how the kid reacted.
