‘Placard to pitch’: Union Minister Anurag Thakur cheers on young cricket enthusiast’s aspirations

Union Minister Anurag Thakur was in Dharamshala to witness the much-anticipated World Cup 2023 match between India and New Zealand on October 22. During the match, the sports minister came across a placard held up by one of the cricket fans. He has now posted the young fan’s picture, who is determined to ‘play for India’ and is awaiting his journey from ‘placard to the pitch’.

“Absolutely heartwarming to see young Tryaksh Aggarwal’s determination and dreams. Awaiting your journey eagerly from placard to the pitch! Nurture your dreams, and together, we’ll watch them grow into reality!” wrote Union Minister Anurag Thakur while sharing a picture on X.
The picture shows Aggarwal holding up a placard as the minister reads it. The text on the placard reads, “One day I’ll play for India. Remember Me. Tryaksh Aggarwal.”

The tweet was shared a day ago on X. It has since accumulated over 3.9 lakh views, and the numbers are still increasing. People swarmed the comments section of the post and wished Aggarwal the best for his feature endeavours.
