Asha and I aren’t ready for marriage yet: Rithvik Dhanjani

Actor Rithvik Dhanjani says marriage with actor girlfriend Asha Negi will have to wait.

They are television world’s favourite on and off screen couple but actor Rithvik Dhanjani and his girlfriend of five years, Asha Negi are still not ready to tie the knot.

“I think it just happen with the flow. We haven’t yet decided on the time and date or details of our wedding. She (Asha) is also on same page with me about our future plans. We need to be mentally stable to understand that it is a lifelong commitment. Marriage is a huge responsibility and we are very young right now,” says Dhanjani, who met Negi on sets of the show Pavitra Rishta in 2011 and have been dating since then.

The couple later appeared together on small screen in the show Yeh Hai Aashiqui. Ever since, they’ve been flooded with requests to take up a project together. “We would love to. We get a lot of requests from fans asking us to work together. We love our fans and I think they are the ones who keep us on our toes.Currently, we both have a different mindset . She is looking at doing something very different, so am I. But if something nice comes up, we would love to do it just for our fans,” says the actor, who has been part of shows such as Pyaar Kii Ek Kahaani, Kumkum Bhagya and Nach Baliye 7.

The 27-year-old is voraciously reading scripts for fiction shows but he says there hasn’t been any success as yet.” “Nothing out of the box is coming my way. I am getting good offers but there is nothing which would make me say, ‘wow, this is it! I going to accept it right away”.
