The ceremony started with the muppets of the show walking the red carpet followed by the screening of the first episode of the new season. Designers Anjalee Kapoor and Charu Parashar were seen interacting with the muppets. Also present were Turner Vice President Monica Tata, Sesame India Executive Director Sashwati Banerjee, and Miditech Chairman Niret Alva.
