Bigg Boss 8: Gautam gets a reprieve, but no let up in Sonali-Renee catfight

After acing the weekly luxury budget task, Gautam Gulati's getting a reprieve of sorts. To begin with, he gets to meet his mom in the house. There is no thaw, however, in the fight between Sonali and Renee. Their equations are worsening by the day, and a big showdown seems to be just around the corner.

Bigg Boss is going hi-tech, so to say. After bringing out the worst in the inmates, it's time for some technology role plays in the reality show. As part of this task on Tuesday, Gautam Gulati gets to meet his mom! A luxury not everyone gets inside the house.

This time, the weekly luxury budget task is called the App Task, wherein Upen and Renee are made the batteries of the house. The other contestants are allowed to explore the apps presented to them when Bigg Boss summons them to the activity area.

They are told that for every app they use, some percentage of the battery will be consumed. To recharge the battery, Upen and Renee are required to take up tasks, making them the most integral members of the house for the task. Interestingly, according to rules, the two 'batteries' are given the option of declining a recharge if they don't want to perform the task set up before them.

The challenge is that if the battery drains out and reaches the zero mark, the task is deemed over and the housemates will subsequently forfeit the luxury budget for the coming week.

When Sonali is invited to the Activity Room, she ends up choosing two apps, exhausting half the batteries at one go. Obviously elated, but without any remorse for being responsible for consuming the batteries, the rest of the inmates are furious with her.

Meanwhile, there is a totally different kind of battle brewing between Renee and Sonali. In Tuesday's episode, Renee accosts Sonali and asks her why she doesn't speak to her cordially. Sonali snaps at Renee and says that she is not in the house to make life-long relations but for the game. Given her short temper, Renee is not the kind who'll keep quiet for being brushed aside like this. It's time for another big showdown inside the house. Watch this space for more.
