Chandan Prabhakar of The Kapil Sharma Show makes directorial debut with Punjabi film

Comedian Chandan Prabhakar, who was a part of Kapil Sharma’s hit troupe in The Kapil Sharma Show, plans to make his directorial debut with a Punjabi film.
Chandan has finalised Sezal Sharma for the yet-to-be-titled film. Sezal will play an Indo-Canadian girl who is the main character in the movie.

Sezal was last seen in 31st October along with Vir Das and Soha Ali Khan. Her new film is a rom-com and is produced by Yadu Production.
She said in a press statement, “I’ve known Chandan for a while but everyone who knows Chandan will agree that in work related matters, he is quite a perfectionist. Through I was on his mind for this role, I had to give four auditions post which I got selected. I begin shooting for this film in August.”
Sezal also has two other releases lined up for this year, one of which is GPL, which got showcased in Cannes last year and is due to release in October.
Chandan walked out of Kapil’s show after the infamous Kapil-Sunil Grover fight but decided to return late in June.
