Drashti Dhami gears up for a grand sangeet ceremony

In keeping with the current trend of having low-key weddings, TV actor Drashti Dhami will tie the knot with her fiancé Neeraj Khemka in a private affair on February 21. But the couple’s sangeet ceremony which will take place on Thursday (February 19), at a five-star hotel in Colaba, is expected to be a grand affair.

But the couple’s sangeet ceremony which will take place on Thursday (February 19), at a five-star hotel in Colaba, is expected to be a grand affair.

"It will be a big event with as many as 70 friends and family members performing at the function," says an insider, adding, "Rehearsals for the same have been on for a few weeks. The couple’s good friends, including TV actors Sanaya Irani and Nakuul Mehta, will dance at the function and even host it."

Being a good dancer herself, and having won a celebrity dance reality show in 2013, Drashti, too, plans to shake a leg on her big day. The source reveals, "Drashti will not only join Sanaya on stage for an act, but will also dance to a romantic number with her fiancé."

Apparently, the venue of the mehendi ceremony is not fixed and is expected to be organised either near the actor’s house or at her home itself. While the wedding will be attended by close family and friends, Drashti has invited several people from the fraternity for her reception that will take place on the evening of her wedding day.
