First look: Anil Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor on Koffee with Karan

While they aren’t doing a film yet, the father-daughter actor duo, Anil and Sonam Kapoor, will appear together on Koffee with Karan.

There has been a lot of anticipation among fans to see Anil Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor together on screen. So much so that there have even been rumours about Sonam making a special appearance on Anil’s debut TV show.

But all that was just speculation.

However, now we’ve been informed that the father-daughter duo will indeed come together on screen, but not for a film. They will make a joint appearance on Karan Johar’s popular television chat show.

While Sonam and Anil have separately been seen on Karan’s show in the previous seasons — and their remarks about Ranbir Kapoor and Abhay Deol, respectively, even created a stir — this will be the first time they will be seen together on it.

Initially Karan had planned to invite them separately on the show. “He wanted to have other actors accompany them, but it was Sonam who insisted on being invited with her dad,” says an insider. The actors have already shot for the episode. “Sonam and Anil finished the shoot yesterday (January 5),” adds the source.

Confirming the news, Anil says, “I am happy to have shot with Sonam.” When asked whether they have any plans to work in a film together, the veteran star only smiled, saying, “It’s a good beginning for us.”
