Though impressed by the panache of Amitabh Bachchan in Kaun Banega Crorepati, cricketer Sourav Ganguly is not inspired by the superstar while hosting a Bengali clone of the iconic quiz show.

No, I am not inspired by him or anyone else. I just go and do it in my own way. I don't think I can copy anyone," Ganguly said when asked if he was inspired by the show and its famous anchor.

Batting on a different wicket, the former Team India skipper, known for his aggressive manner, is attracting a lot of eyeballs as humble and polite TV host in the second season of Dadagiri on Zee Bangla. He, however, admits being a huge admirer of 'Big B'. "I admire him a lot. He is a charismatic anchor in KBC. I am a big fan," he told PTI here.

Bachchan's huge personality and the lure of hitting a jackpot in front of millions of television viewers, has made the fourth season of KBC a runaway hit.

After having a successful first edition of Dadagiri last year, Ganguly says he has matured and turned more confident as an anchor now.

"Yes, I have grown from the first season to the second season. I feel more confident in the show," the 38-year-old said.

"I have to do a little bit of homework only because I know what the show is all about and how to host it, how to handle guests and what questions to ask."
