So You Think You Can Dance

, says that “on a scale of 1 to 10, I am about a -57 on my technical dance abilities”. But what she lack in talent, she makes up in enthusiasm.

“I am very enthusiastic after a night out and a couple of cocktails but, I have absolutely no talent. I have tried to speak to the choreographers about teaching me, but everybody walks away from me,” she says.

Deeley, who used to be a fashion model before the show, is all praise for the ‘Bollywood dance’ that was performed on the show. “I think Bollywood dancing is absolutely beautiful and I love the fact that it has a story behind it. You can’t help but smile after watching a it,” she said, adding that she would “love to travel to India some time soon”.

Ask her whether her true-blue British accent has now become her selling point on the show that airs on


and she laughs, “I don’t know! But it is the only one I’ve got so I’ve got to work with it — like to like it or lump it. People say that I say judges very strangely.”

Deeley, who claims to have “done well at school” says youngsters wanting to get into the glamour business should not quit studies. “Today, because of the qualifications I have, I can go into meetings and be taken seriously...people won’t think I’m stupid. Plus,

anything to do with entertainment business is incredibly unstable, so it’s always better to finish your education first.”

Although free time is hard to come by, Cat spends it “doing yoga or going vintage shopping at flea markets”.
