Friends star David Schwimmer turns 51 on Thursday and we can already feel the good ‘unagi’ in the air. The actor, who later went on to star in several more films and also make some, is still remembered best as the earnest paleontologist, Dr. Ross Eustace Geller.

Of course, Ross wasn’t the best boyfriend ever, he was jealous all the time and he cheated on Rachel (they clearly weren’t on a break) but he knew how to be funny. Not in a sarcastic Chandler or charming Joey kinda way but in his own, goofy Ross kinda way.
